Treat Yourself – Teacher Appreciation Gift

Inexpensive Teacher Gift Ideas

Even though my lil’ guy is not even a year old, daycare is quick to remind us first time parents when exactly teacher appreciation week is.  I’m glad they do, the ladies that take care L everyday deserve a treat!!

I put together an easy an inexpensive treat bag to say “Thank You”.

Movie Teacher Gift

Following a theme of “Treat Yourself” I got the following for each one of the special ladies who watch over his class.

  • $5 Gift Card to Sweet Frog (the local frozen yogurt joint)
  • Gift Card for (2) Free Rentals from Redbox
  • (2) Boxes of Popcorn
  • (1) Their Favorite Candy Bar
  • (1) Whimsical Popcorn Box to hold it all together.

Total Cost – less than $10 each teacher.

Movie Theme Teacher Gifts

To give a RedBox gift card I went to the “Gifts” tab on Redbox and scrolled down to the bottom.  There you’ll have an option to buy “Promo Code Bundles”.  I chose the $12 package with comes with 10 standard DVD rentals from any of their kiosks.  I used the photo to make a little gift card in PowerPoint and added one of the codes that was emailed to me to each of the bottoms.

Then I slid it in the little envelope that came with the Sweet From gift cards.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the little designs for the front, attached them to a white lunch sack, and added red ribbon to keep it buttoned up until its time for the teachers to open.  Love the way it turned out, and hope that are able to “Treat Themselves” courtesy of my lil’ guy. :)

You may want to remove the images of the gift cards – a viewer on the blog could use the codes and then your gifts are gone!
